LATEST Sept. 1, 8 p.m. Officials released new acreage and containment numbers Wednesday night for the Caldor Fire burning near Lake Tahoe.

The blaze is 207,931 acres and went from being 20% contained earlier Wednesday to 23% by the evening, the U.S. Forest Service said.
