Lava Fire Survey Results

In August 2021, the Greater Lake Shastina Fire Safe Council (GLSFSC) initiated a survey of Lava Fire evacuees residing within the Lake Shastina Community Services District. The survey consisted of 20 questions to be answered either via the distributed hard copy, or at a digital site. The survey was designed to gather information on the evacuees experiences (from the notice to evacuate until notification to return), along with comments regarding those experiences.

At this time we are experiencing some difficulty organizing the volume of data received into a simple format. But, rather than delaying further, we have decided to make the survey results available. The data collected has been digitized and is available at https://www.lakeshastina.com/index.html, just click on “CLICK HERE TO REVIEW LAVA FIRE SURVEY RESULTS”. As promised in the information provided with the survey, this raw data is also being shared with our partner agencies. Please be assured that all responses continue to be completely confidential. Nowhere is the identity of the respondent included.

We will continue to work on organizing the data and a final report will be published when that work has been completed. Once again, we thank everyone who took the time to participate in the survey. We are confident you will find the information interesting and useful.
