SISKIYOU COUNTY, CA – Over the last eleven years, the Siskiyou County Sheriffโ€™s Office, Siskiyou County Office of Emergency Services (OES), CalFire, dispatchers, law enforcement, and other partners have relied on CodeRED as our main alert notification provider. As things have developed, and with the backing of local jurisdictions, the Siskiyou County Sheriff and the Office of Emergency Services have decided to upgrade to a new alert notification system to ReadySiskiyou-Alerts (alerts.readysiskiyou.gov).

The ReadySiskiyou-Alerts (alerts.readysiskiyou.gov) upgrade will provide you with a more reliable emergency alerts system, ensuring enhanced safety and security for our community. With this upgrade, residents can expect improved response times during critical situations, allowing for quicker dissemination of vital information during emergencies such as fires, natural disasters, severe weather events, or public safety incidents.

The upgraded system will offer increased accuracy and specificity in alert notifications, enabling residents to make informed decisions swiftly to safeguard themselves and their loved ones. Whether it’s evacuating a designated area or taking necessary precautions, the upgraded ReadySiskiyou-Alerts system will provide clearer and more actionable guidance, ultimately minimizing risks and ensuring the well-being of our community members. By investing in this upgrade, we prioritize our residents’ safety and security, reaffirming our commitment to proactive emergency management and response.

Please visit alerts.readysiskiyou.gov to register with ReadySiskiyou-Alerts. This site will direct you to Smart911 (the platform’s host). You can also easily download and register through the Smart911 app, available on Google Play and Apple App Store, to receive push notifications directly on your smartphone.

To receive emergency alerts from Siskiyou County, please visit: alerts.readysiskiyou.gov and register your new account with ReadySiskiyou-Alerts (Smart911). Including your address during registration will assist in preventing alerts that are not relevant to your area. Additionally, please select your preferred language for receiving alerts, as ReadySiskiyou-Alerts has the capability to send alerts in multiple languages.

When alerts are dispatched from the County and/or Cities, you may receive texts, phone calls, and emails, according to your specified notification preferences that you choose upon signing up.

Our paramount mission is to ensure the safety of Siskiyou County residents. We consistently strive to implement the most effective measures to safeguard you and keep you well-informed. We believe that transitioning to the ReadySiskiyou-Alerts notification system aligns with this commitment.

We appreciate your ongoing support!
