The fire is now 13.5 acres per the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC)

A dozer line has been completed around three quarters of the fire, and crews are extending hoselays along the fireline. Both a helicopter and an air tanker have been making drops on the fire. Ground resources continue to arrive on scene, including engines from our U.S. Forest Service – Shasta-Trinity National Forest neighbors and engines and crews from our CAL FIRE Siskiyou partners per the Klamath National Forest Facebook page.

Air Attack and 2 Tankers are on the scene of the fire per the Watch Duty radar layer.
There is a helicopter enroute also per radio traffic.

Firefighters are on the scene of a 5 acre wildfire between Dead Steer Flat and Orr Lake on the east side of the Klamath National Forest. The fire with a low to moderate rate of spread in grass and timber litter per Klamath National Forest Facebook page . Air resources have been ordered.
