We’re pleased to welcome our guest speaker Michael Chudzik. Chudzik will present on innovative approaches to wildfire mitigation through small-diameter wood product development and forest stewardship. With more than 25 years of experience, Michael has worked with Lindal Cedar Homes and the Navajo Nation on projects focused on turning fire-mitigation forest thinnings into affordable housing and forestry-based products.
The presentation will highlight lessons learned from the Indigenous Log Hogan Revival Project in the Coconino National Forest and explore how similar strategies could help reduce fire-mitigation costs and support private landowners and rural communities today.
This will be a great opportunity to learn about ongoing projects and funding opportunities relevant to our communities. We hope to see you there!
