...EXTREME HEAT WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM FRIDAY TO 8 PM PDT
MONDAY...

* WHAT...Dangerously hot temperatures near 100 to upwards of 110
  degrees.

* WHERE...In California, most of Siskiyou County. In Oregon, Eastern
  Curry County and Josephine County, Jackson County, and Siskiyou
  Mountains and Southern Oregon Cascades.

* WHEN...From 1 PM Friday to 8 PM PDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
  extreme heat events.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay cool, stay hydrated, stay informed.

Drink plenty of fluids and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
