.Gusty afternoon and evening winds combined with very dry humidity
levels will result in critical fire weather conditions in portions
of Siskiyou and Modoc counties Tuesday, likely on Wednesday, and
possibly on Thursday also.

The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a Red Flag
Warning...which is in effect from 2 PM to 8 PM PDT Tuesday. A Fire
Weather Watch has also been issued. This Fire Weather Watch is in
effect from Wednesday afternoon through Wednesday evening.

* Impacts:  Strong, gusty wind with low relative humidity and
  critically dry vegetation will greatly increase the spread
  potential of any new and existing fires.

* Affected area:
  In Northern CA...Fire Weather Zones 280 and 281, including Seiad
  Valley, Scott Bar, Klamath River, Yreka, Weed, Fort Jones, and
  Etna.

* Wind: South 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph in the southern
  Shasta Valley near Weed, otherwise west to northwest 10 to 15
  mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

* Humidity: As low as 7 to 12 percent.
