The Flanagan Fire has burned a total of 40 acres, and is 20% contained, according to CAL FIRE.
UPDATE as of 3:15 P.M. FRIDAY:
CAL FIRE says the Flanagan Fire is 30 acres.
15 engines, five crews, two dozers, four water tenders, and a helicopter are working on getting the flames out.
The cause is under investigation.
UPDATE as of 2:20 P.M. FRIDAY:
Mandatory evacuation orders are in place for all residents along Walker Mine Road, west of Lake Boulevard.
An evacuation center is set up at Central Valley High School on La Mesa Avenue in Shasta Lake.
UPDATE as of 1:30 P.M. FRIDAY:
Mandatory evacuation orders are in place for Walker Ridge Road. Anyone in the area should leave immediately.
Evacuation warnings are in place for the area of Walker Mine Road and Belt Line Road west to Walker Ridge Road. Residents should be prepared to leave at any moment.The Shasta County Sheriff’s Office issued an emergency alert Friday afternoon for the Flanagan Fire. (KRCR)
