Antelope races to the NE

The #Antelopefire continued to burn northeast today, growing by about 18,000 acres. It burned north of Forest Road 77 and worked its way north past Crater Glass Flow, Fourmile Hill, Lookout Butte, Cinder Butte and Callahan Flow. The growth prompted the Siskiyou Sheriff’s office to issue an evacuation order for the area east of Forest Road 15 Davis Road, south of Bonita Butte, west of Fourmile Hill and north of Little Glass Mountain. Firefighters, engines and bulldozers are working through the night to contain the fire. A contingent of aircraft, including fixed wing airplanes and helicopters supported firefighters on the ground today. The fire is about 2 miles from Medicine Lake. A structure protection group continued to install sprinklers around protective wrap around structures in the Medicine Lake area. Total acreage: 91,477, containment 77%.
