New evacuation orders for Tennant Fire in Siskiyou County

SISKIYOU COUNTY, Calif. — The Tennant Fire continues to burn over 8,000 acres with low containment east of Grass Lake in Siskiyou County.
The Siskiyou County Office of Emergency Services (EOS) issued new evacuation orders for the fire for Bray to the Antelope Sink, including Round Valley.https://arcg.is/1eWq581
The evacuation warning boundary is Sheep Mountain Road to the north, including Red Rock Road to the east and the homes within a mile to the west of Macdoel. Officials are asking Macdoel residents to be ready to evacuate.
The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) says a Temporary Evacuation Point (TEP) is currently set up at Dorris City Hall at 307 S. Main Street in Dorris.

- Old State Highway
- Juanita Lake

- West Ball Mountain
- Little Shasta Road up to Cook Campbell Road
- All of Meiss Lake Road
- Forest Service Road 3
- Macdoel area
As of Wednesday evening’s fire update, the Tennant Fire has burned 8,159 acres with 6% containment.
