Tenant Fire: New fire grows rapidly to over 200 acres, close to Lava Fire in Siskiyou Co.

SISKIYOU COUNTY, Calif. — BREAKING, JUNE 28, 5:28 PM:

A new fire has been reported burning near the intersection of US-97 and Tenant Road; 100 yards from US-97, burning towards US-97 and away from Tenant Rd.

The “Tenant Fire” is currently burning 200 acres with a high rate of spread, according to the Siskiyou County Office of Emergency Services.

There is currently no containment on the fire.
