Heres a couple non-official maps for fire orientation with local landmarks etc for the Dillon Fire…
Per watch duty it was reported around 900 acres plus @ 0030 on 8/26/25. Both perimeter and MODIS/VIIRS maps. Satellite “hot spot” data accuracy has been shown to off by 100m or more with a 93% accuracy depending on varying environmental factors. These maps are intended for overall visual fire orientation, not IR precision. It is a red flag day here in Western Siskiyou County and can expect extreme fire behavior throughout the day.
