From KRCR: COTTONWOOD, Calif. — CAL FIRE crews are responding to a vegetation fire off of View Drive and Digger Pine Road, southwest of Cottonwood.

According to CAL FIRE Tehama Glenn Unit officials, as of 3:50 p.m., the fire, called the “View Fire,” has burned 20 acres.

Evacuations have been issued due to the fire. According to officials, Joe Dog Lane, Westview Way, and Poppy Lane are currently under an evacuation order.

Additionally, Sheila Road to north Pinewood Road and Joe Dog Lane to Jefford Lane are under an evacuation warning.

In addition, winds to 30 mph are expected.  This presents a fire hazard, and it also means that wind chill factors will drop into the single digits.  Hope everyone has their heat set up for the winter!
